It's been possible for several time already to watch the come on of Firefox OS through and through nightly desktop builds, but on Friday Mozilla posted a new video on YouTube that offers a fresh, up-to-date look at its forthcoming mobile OS in action.
Recorded cobbler's last Thursday, the video–embedded at a lower place–demonstrates the latest build of Firefox OS jetting on a developer earpiece by Chinese manufacturer ZTE.
Circumpolar in the demonstration are the open source operating organization's dialing capabilities, contacts list, built-in Firefox browser, realistic keyboard, camera, photo art gallery characteristic, and Marketplace app for finding and downloading additive software.
Mozilla's video too demonstrates an app called Galactians2 past Space Monster Games squirting on top of the operating organization.
Staring Web Standards
For those who don't remember, Firefox Oculus sinister began its lifetime more than a class agone under the name "Boot to Gecko," which was officially denatured to Firefox OS this early July.
Built using HTML5, the operating scheme is intended for use along smartphones built entirely to open Web standards, where wholly of the device's capabilities can be developed as HTML5 applications.
Operator partners in the movement include Deutsche Telekom, Etisalat, Smart, Dash, Telecom Italia, Telefónica, and Telenor. The first devices featuring Firefox OS will glucinium manufactured away TCL Communicating Technology (Alcatel) and ZTE using Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm, Mozilla says.
Launching in 2022
